Legal and Economic Prespectives
of Energy Cooperatives' Development

ABOUT


Decentralization of large-scale energy Is a worldwide tendency and an Important component of global energy transition. Local communities in many countries aim to build pro-ecological renewable sources of energy and therefore to create the social dimension of energy. The Conference has the objective of creating a forum for International community of academics and business representatives to share the knowledge about perspectives of energy cooperatives development in different societies.


During the sessions of the Conference our guests - representatives of cooperative studies and cooperative networks from around the world will share their views on place and role of energy cooperatives in their national energy systems.


The discussion will mainly focus on legal and economic determinants of increasing the significance of energy cooperatives. The Conference main themes are:


- legal status of energy cooperatives in different countries,

- renewable energy cooperatives support schemes,

- legal aspects of conducting economic activity by energy cooperatives,

- the role of energy cooperatives in energy transition,

- benefits for local community originating from renewable energy cooperative.


Papers presented at the Conference will be published in scientific journal. Date of submission of papers will be announced afterwards.


The Conference is organised by members of the Faculty of Law and Administration In Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland.
