Association for Efficiency was founded in 2006 by prof. Krzysztof Zmijewski, the long-term chairman of Association`s Program Council. Professor was an expert in the energy sector (policy, efficiency, energy cooperatives) awarded with the Order of Polonia Restituta for outstanding service to the polish nation in the field of energy efficiency; author and co-author of two laws in the area of energy efficiency. From the very beginning the Association focused its activities on increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the Polish economy, promoting the use of highly-efficient energy resources and potential, cooperating with the governmental and public administration bodies, well recognized experts and top national and international companies. Stowarzyszenie na rzecz Efektywnosci im. prof. Krzysztofa Zmijewskiego (prof. Krzysztof Zmijewski Association for Efficiency) is a promoter of the idea and implementation of Energy Cooperatives in Poland, cooperating both with the government, local administration, local leaders and universities. Regarding to Energy Cooperatives - we focus on the most effective ways to implement energy communities and key elements of social economic in regional context.
